Job Overview
We are seeking a Culinary Manager to lead our team and oversee all kitchen operations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, exceptional leadership skills, and a strong background in kitchen management. As the Culinary Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring food quality and safety and managing the overall dining experience for our guests.
Duties
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
- Manage inventory control to minimize waste and ensure cost-effective purchasing of ingredients.
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing training and guidance to ensure high performance and adherence to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with the dietary department to accommodate special dietary needs and preferences.
- Ensure compliance with health regulations and food safety standards in all aspects of kitchen operations.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment that promotes teamwork and efficiency.
Skills
- Strong leadership abilities to inspire and motivate kitchen staff.
- Proficient in food management practices, including menu planning and cost control.
- Experience working within a dietary department is a plus.
- Expertise in food handling techniques to ensure safety and quality.
- Ability to manage inventory effectively, ensuring proper stock levels are maintained.
- Comprehensive understanding of the food industry trends and customer preferences.
- Excellent supervisory skills with a focus on team development and performance improvement.
