Sous Chef/ Lead Line Cook

Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in culinary skills and a commitment to delivering exceptional food quality and presentation. As a Sous Chef, you will assist the Culinary Manager in managing kitchen operations, ensuring food safety standards are met, and contributing to menu planning and execution. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a keen eye for detail.

Duties

Assist in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes in accordance with the restaurant’s standards.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and training as needed to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
Maintain food safety and sanitation standards throughout the kitchen.
Manage inventory and assist with ordering supplies to ensure the kitchen is well-stocked.
Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and cleaned according to health regulations.
Support the team during service hours by cooking, plating, and expediting orders.

Requirements

Strong culinary skills with proficiency in knife techniques and various cooking methods.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen management.
Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage kitchen staff.
Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively within the culinary team.
