
Brewery Sales Representative

Ore Dock Brewing is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Sales Manager to drive and further develop our sales strategy. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to drive growth, expand our market presence, and build strong relationships within the craft beer industry. The ideal candidate is outgoing, results-oriented, and organized with experience in sales, and a passion for the craft beverage industry.
Essential Function & Responsibilities:
- Strengthen relationships with customers, accounts, buyers, distributors, and industry representatives
- Work with wholesale partners to ensure alignment of sales objectives and promotional initiatives
- Develop weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales strategies that meet annual goals
- Establish a regular account visit schedule and maintain a comprehensive log of activities, product placement, and developments within territory
- Facilitate and represent Ore Dock at on and off-site brand engagements including samplings, festivals, beer dinners, trade shows and industry events.
- Use data tools to analyze reports, identify opportunities, and track sales performance
- Prepare and submit reports, as well as necessary administrative tasks
- Implement marketing strategy through and track program execution to ensure performance meets targets.
- Conduct field checks to ensure proper product rotation, freshness, and quality standards are met.
- Oversee wholesaler inventory levels assisting in sales order development and stock management.
- Manage assigned expense budget, ensuring resource efficiency
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of retail and wholesale sales metrics, including gross profit, margin, pricing strategies, and discounting structures.
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations for brewery representation.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous experience in craft beverage sales preferred
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant industry experience
- Extensive knowledge in the craft beverage industry, brewing process, styles, and industry trends
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
- Experience with industry reporting tools (Ekos, VIP, Encompass, etc.)
- Ability to work flexible hours with regular travel, including evenings and weekends
- Clean driving record, valid driver’s license, and personal vehicle
- Demonstrate strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Energetic, organized, and self-motivated with ability to problem solve and manage time effectively
- Strong ability to work with teams and receive/provide constructive feedback
- Ability to move up to 55 lbs and use dolly to transport/maneuver 170 lbs Kegs
- MI Salesperson License Accreditation must be completed before start date
