Job Summary:
Manage daily operations in all service areas, customer experience, and the team that supports these activities. Perform duties in a manner that effectively and efficiently represents the vision of Ore Dock Brewing Company.
Essential Function & Responsibilities:
- Management of service staff; Working in a team or individually to maximize staff performance and contributions. Schedule work and activities, give instruction, and motivate and direct team members work to meet the company objectives.
- Monitor and measure performance of yourself, other individuals, and partner organizations to make improvements or take corrective action. Identify areas of improvement and make suggestions to achieve this, leading your team in achieving goals and maintaining an effective working relationship among staff.
- Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas to ensure efficient service and conformance to standards.
- Maintain and advance customer service through a strong understanding of customer needs and support of the team interfacing with these customers.
- Ensure proper communication and coordination of product offerings to staff, in turn assuring customers’ expectations are clear. Create and oversee customer experience and perception of brand and service.
- Oversee cleanliness, tidiness, and organization of all service and staff areas. Supervise and participate in cleaning activities.
- Commitment to communication around events, staff, bands, products, changing requirements and onsite operations.
- Understand and participate in regular budget discussions with management team, overseeing adherence to tap room and community space budgets
Qualifications & Skills:
- Must possess a passion for customer service and an interest in craft beer and the brewing industry
- Management experience in a customer-facing environment in addition to experience managing team culture, possessing the ability to inspire and motivate a team
- Ability to give and take direction
- Strong communication skills to interact with both customers and staff in a professional manner; thorough and effective communication is vital.
- Honesty, accountability, and professionalism
- General understanding of developing and working within a budget
- Flexible availability, with emphasis on nights and weekends. Seasonal and holiday availability may be expected
- Excellent time management skills and experience working independently
- Adequate computer-based skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time, walk, talk, hear, use hands to finger, grasp, handle or feel, push, pull, reach, crouch, kneel, crawl or bend, and perform repetitive motions of the hands and/or wrists
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 55 pounds
- Ability to function in a noisy, past paced environment without becoming overwhelmed
