Customer Service Associate/Cashier

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and friendly Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service while handling transactions and assisting with product inquiries. Your ability to communicate effectively and create a welcoming atmosphere will contribute to a positive shopping experience.

Duties

● Operate the cash register efficiently, processing customer transactions accurately.
● Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers and addressing their needs promptly.
● Utilize retail math skills to manage cash handling and ensure accurate financial reporting.
● Engage in upselling techniques to promote additional products and enhance customer satisfaction.
● Conduct product demonstrations to educate customers about new items and promotions.
● Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, ensuring that all supplies are stocked and accessible.
● Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations and a positive work environment.

Requirements:

● Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse customers.
● Proficiency in basic math skills for cash handling and transaction processing.
● Experience with cash registers and point-of-sale systems is advantageous.
● Ability to supervise others and work collaboratively within a team setting.
● A proactive approach to upselling products and enhancing the customer experience.
● Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
