Five Year Anniversary Event

AUGUST 19, 2017

We are so humbled and proud to be celebrating five rotations around that big burning ball of sun. We will be toasting to the next five and celebrating the previous all day Saturday, August 19. Mark your calendar, write on your hand, tell Siri to remind you or follow the Facebook event to make sure you don’t miss out.

Wooden Man Barrel Aged Bottle Release

Once a life complete, allowed to begin again. Introducing the first release from our barrel-aged Hands of Time series.

In conjuction with our 5th anniversary celebration we’ll be hosting a limited release of Wooden Man, a sour blond ale aged with wild blueberries. Get a crack at these 500ml beauties for $10/bottle with the first 75 people to open the gate also receiving a commerative Wooden Man poster screen-printed by the talented folks of Northmost Outpost.

Bottles will be released at high noon.

Ore Dock Brewing Co. + Queen City Running Co. Beer Dash

This is the race for those of us who saved that “Couch to 5K” plan never to touch it again. For the “casual runner” who hasn’t run farther than their car to the door (because it was raining, duh) since high school gym class. Or for the actual runner who just really loves a well crafted pint.

In conjunction with Ore Dock’s five year anniversary celebration, the Beer Dash will start and end on the Iron Ore Heritage Trail outside the tap room’s garage door. The route will loop you in circles: sweeping up Third Street, past Queen City Running Co. on Baraga Avenue and returning to where the taps are pouring via the sidewalk of Front Street. To make it a one mile course (give or take) runners will cruise around the block four times before returning to the brewery for post-race pints and celebratory cheers.

$15 registration includes an official Beer Dash trucker hat, Queen City Running Co. discounts, a limited amount of on-course refreshments, a pint to cool down with, and a heck of a lot of fun. Register in advance at Queen City Running Co. (119 West Baraga Avenue.)
